Eric JULIEN

Eric JULIEN

Geographer, consultant, explorer of interstitial spaces

At the crossroads of worlds—our modernity and the indigenous societies, including the Kogis (Colombia)—Éric Julien often describes himself as an "explorer of interstitial spaces." His aim? To explore pathways of reconciliation between modern societies and nature, the masculine and the feminine, and between one another, fostering new ways of being and acting together in harmony with nature.

At 65, a geographer and political science graduate (IEP), he lives in the Drôme region of France, where he leads "nature reconnection journeys" to help individuals rediscover their essence and their place within the living world. He is one of the founders (1997) of the NGO Tchendukua Ici et Ailleurs, which supports the Kogi, Arhuaco, and Wiwa peoples in reclaiming their lands and preserving their ancestral cultures (2,586 hectares purchased and returned in Colombia).
