Jean-Pierre Goux was born in Nice in 1973. An engineer and former mathematics researcher at Northwestern University and Argonne National Laboratory in Chicago, he received the SIAM Optimization Prize in 2002. A former CEO of Powernext until 2019, he is now the founder of the consulting firm Biosphere Economics and an active advocate for environmental causes. He is the founder and president of the NGO OneHome, which, for the first time in human history, showcases Earth fully illuminated from space, aiming to bring the overview effect experience to everyone. He is also the author of the Siècle Bleu and Révolution Bleue sagas, which propose a path to ecological transition through a metamorphosis of humanity. Until 2023, he served as president of the Institut des Futurs Souhaitables.
