MARIANA BOMBO PEROZZI GAMEIRO
Sociologist, Senior Consultant at Mighty Earth
Mariana Bombo Perozzi Gameiro is a senior consultant at Mighty Earth, where she coordinates the "Rapid Response" program monitoring deforestation in Brazil, working closely with Indigenous and traditional communities.
She holds a PhD in sociology and is a postdoctoral researcher in anthropology as well as a veterinarian. Mariana is dedicated to studying the environmental, social, and economic impacts of agricultural supply chains in Latin America.
She joined Mighty Earth in August 2022. Previously, she collaborated with the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), the Scientific and Technical Committee (CST) on Forests, the United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) "Environment & Trade Hub," the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP), and several NGOs such as The Donkey Sanctuary, Animal Synergy, and the Brazilian National Forum for the Protection and Defense of Animals, among others.
