After studying civil engineering, Nans embarked on a two-year hitchhiking journey across America. He then co-wrote La Bible du Grand Voyageur, published by Lonely Planet in 2012, and co-directed the documentary series Nus et Culottés on France 5, where he travels naked and without money, meeting locals along the way. In 2015, he began working on a film about grief: et je choisis de vivre. In 2020, he founded Mouton, a quarterly magazine with his friends Kim Pasche and Guillaume Tisserand, titled La Tribu du Vivant, an invitation to rewild our lives! In 2024, this magazine evolves into WALP.
