Water and forests: guardians of our survival
‘Remember the water cycle we all learned about at school: clouds, mountains, rivers, oceans... and forests. But what we often forget is that trees are essential to this cycle. They do more than just decorate our landscapes: they allow water to infiltrate the soil, regulate rainfall through evapotranspiration and retain carbon. Without them, the whole balance collapses. Fewer trees = less water in the soil = less life. Every tree cut down brings us closer to a future where water, biodiversity and the ecosystems we know disappear.
Preserving this cycle means preserving our future. It's not just a question of protecting the planet, but our very survival. Water and forests are the true guardians of life on Earth. In this session, we'll explore this vital link and you'll understand why, now more than ever, we need to act together.’
