Who will save the planet: businesses, citizens, politicians?
Human activities have considerably and sustainably altered the conditions under which the planet is habitable. In this context, it is becoming crucial and urgent to question and define the roles and responsibilities of each player in the protection and regeneration of the planet and all living things. But who can really make a difference? "Hummingbird citizens", through everyday eco-gestures, career choices and community involvement? Businesses, with a new growth and production model? Politicians, with ambitious democratic projects proposing a desirable future? Everyone needs to do their bit. The fact remains that collective action is essential if all these players are to be equally committed to the same objective, while taking account of inequalities and the reality of the world in which we live.
