Christian GOLLIER

Christian GOLLIER

Director of TSE School

Christian Gollier is an economist specializing in the economics of uncertainty, the environment, finance, consumption, insurance, and cost-benefit analysis, with a focus on long-term sustainable effects. He co-founded the Toulouse School of Economics with Jean Tirole in 2007 and served as its director from 2009 to 2024, except for the 2015-2016 academic year. Since 2023, he has been the Executive Director of TSE.
He received an Advanced ERC Grant in 2009 and has held three fellowships at the Institut Universitaire de France. A Fellow of the Econometric Society, he held a chair at the Collège de France from 2021 to 2022. He is the author of over 140 scientific articles and 10 books, including The Economics of Risk and Time (which won the Paul A. Samuelson Award in 2001) and Pricing the Planet’s Future (2012). He has contributed to the reports of the IPCC (2007, 2013) and advises governments on public investment evaluation policies and ecological transition. His book Le Climat après la fin du mois (2019) has been very successful.
