Emmanuelle ASSOUAN

Managing Director of Financial Stability and Operations and Chair of the Climate Change Center at the Banque de France

Emmanuelle Assouan has been the Director General of Financial Stability and Operations and Chair of the Climate Change Centre at the Banque de France since January 2023.
Over the course of her career, she has held various positions related to financial stability, payments, and market infrastructures, as well as the management of the Banque de France’s foreign exchange reserves, the implementation of monetary policy, and banking supervision.
Born in 1973, she is a graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris and joined the Banque de France in 1997.
