Julie Gautier, born in 1979 in Réunion, is a French multidisciplinary artist, freediver, filmmaker, dancer, and choreographer. From a young age, she has been passionate about dance and the ocean, setting multiple freediving records before turning her focus to underwater filmmaking. Her short film AMA celebrates the grace and strength of women and reflects her deep artistic commitment.
Through collaborations with artists like Zazie, Beyoncé, and Grégory Colbert, Julie creates emotionally intense works that also raise awareness about ocean conservation and the fight against plastic pollution. She is currently developing a new aquatic discipline that combines sport and underwater dance, called Aqua Dance Flow.
