Emma HAZIZA

President and Founder of Mayane Education France, Hydrologist

Doctor of the École des Mines de Paris, hydrologist, and expert in developing resilience strategies for territories facing climate extremes, Emma Haziza has taught for over 10 years in leading master's programs and engineering schools on climate adaptation in France (University of Montpellier 2, University of Nîmes, ENPTE, ENGREF, École des Mines, École Polytechnique, etc.). She has trained various stakeholders and decision-makers, from mayors to departmental prefects, as well as ministries and departmental crisis managers. She also served as an expert in the prefectural crisis cell in the Hérault region for 10 years, providing real-time insights into extreme events.
Additionally, Emma Haziza has been an international speaker for 20 years and is recognized as a leading expert on floods, droughts, and climate change adaptation in France. She regularly appears on major French radio and television networks as a trusted voice on these topics. Currently, she is a columnist for France Info on the weekly show Un degré de conscience, which addresses environmental and climate issues.
