In videoconference - Anna König Jerlmyr is a prominent leader in urban development, sustainability, and international collaboration. As the Mayor of Stockholm from 2018 to 2022, Anna led transformative initiatives that established Stockholm as a global leader in sustainability and smart city innovation. During her tenure, Stockholm was recognized as the Smartest City in the World (2019) and the Most Sustainable City in the World (2022). Her political career began with a term in the Swedish Parliament (2006-2010), after which she took on leadership roles in Stockholm’s City Hall, including serving as Vice Mayor for Social Affairs. In this capacity, Anna launched the city’s first Children’s House to support young victims of domestic violence, showcasing her commitment to social welfare. Anna’s influence extends internationally, having held key roles such as Vice Chair of C40, the world’s largest climate network for cities, and President of Eurocities, Europe’s leading network of cities. She has been an active board member in organizations focused on energy solutions and urban innovation, including serving on the council for Future Cities at the World Economic Forum. Recognized as one of the top five mayors in Europe in 2021, Anna brings a wealth of experience and a vast network across both national and international platforms.
