Eric DUVERGER

Founder of the CEC (Convention of Companies for the Climate)

After twenty-two years as an executive at Michelin, Éric Duverger decided to make a radical change and founded the Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat (CEC) in 2020. The CEC was born out of a moment of realization during the COVID-19 crisis, when Éric, then living in the United States as a marketing director at Michelin, became aware of the gap between the urgent need for climate action, the accelerating planetary boundaries, and the company's strategic trajectory.
This moment of awareness came during the final session of the Citizens' Climate Convention (CCC) in June 2020, when he realized the need to adapt the concept to business leaders in order to transition the economic world towards a regenerative economy. Four years later, Éric has convinced over 2000 executives to rethink their business models to address the disconnect between ecological transition and economic priorities. Since then, more than 600 contributors have been working to implement these transformation pathways for business leaders, who in turn have already submitted over 700 regenerative roadmaps
