Florian Bercault, Mayor of Laval (50,000 inhabitants), the capital of Mayenne, and President of Laval Agglomération (114,000 inhabitants) at the age of 30, is a dynamic young local elected official leading a thriving territory with one of the lowest unemployment rates in France, thanks to the economic vitality of its businesses.
Previously involved in entrepreneurship, he contributed to the development of crowdfunding for renewable energy projects. He led ESTIMEO for three years, a company that analyzes and evaluates startups to assess their development potential, considering financial, social, and environmental criteria.
As President of the National Eco-districts Commission, Deputy President of France, Villes et Territoires Durables, and a member of the governing bodies of Villes de France and Intercommunalités de France, the Mayor-President is deeply committed to sustainably transforming the lives of residents by rehabilitating the city and driving the necessary urban, environmental, and energy transitions for a more just, ecological, and solidarity-driven society.
