Luiz OLIVEIRA
President of the Espinhaço Institute
Philosopher, Buddhist monk, nexilialist and integral thinker, works in the structuring and implementation of strategic programs for sustainable development, with the human person at its center, generating knowledge that promotes positive impacts, resilience and transformation of territories and the promotion of a culture of peace.
He is a disseminator and implementer of disruptive initiatives such as the 17 SDGs and is an articulator, in Brazil, of strategic programs such as Man and Biosphere – MaB/Unesco, in addition to other global agendas.
Luiz Oliveira is the founder and president of Instituto Espinhaço, an organization that was created under the inspiration and with the support of Danielle Mitterrand, José Aparecido de Oliveira, Henryane de Chaponay. The Espinhaço Institute is a Brazilian organization of reference on the environmental agenda and is present in 15 countries and in over 500 cities in Brazil, having already recovered more than 6 thousand hectares of forests, supporting more than 8 million people.
