Tamara KLINK

Tamara KLINK

Arctic Navigator and Writer

Tamara overwintered alone on the Arctic pack ice and has twice sailed solo across the Atlantic.

At the age of 26, she spent a year in the Arctic aboard her sailboat, including eight months trapped by ice in an isolated fjord in Greenland. This remarkable achievement marked the first recorded solo female overwintering in the region. (Her logbooks are available in both French and English on the UNESCO website: https://www.unesco.org/fr/articles/le-voyage-de-tamara-klink-dans-larctique-les-uns-et-les-autres.)

Two years earlier, at 24, she sailed from Norway to Brazil aboard Sardinha, a sailboat she purchased for the price of a bicycle. She became the youngest Latin American to cross the Atlantic solo.

Born in 1997 in São Paulo, Brazil, and a graduate in architecture from ENSA Nantes, Tamara has authored four books about her adventures, two of which are bestsellers in Brazil. She has also delivered over 300 lectures in Portuguese, French, and English, and now leads one of the largest sailing communities on social media.
