Anne-Sophie JOLY

President and Founder of the National Collective of Obesity Associations

Anne-Sophie Joly is the founder of the National Collective of Obesity Associations (CNAO), established in 2003 to combat weight stigma and advocate for better care for obesity. With 18 years of experience in medical journalism, she identified significant gaps in treatment and champions a holistic approach involving patients, healthcare professionals, the state, and industry. Under her leadership, the CNAO has contributed to the National Obesity Plan, the General Assembly on Food, and recommendations from the French National Health Authority (HAS). She advocates for recognizing obesity as a disease, in line with WHO recommendations, emphasizing prevention, compassion, and improved training for healthcare providers. Her dedication aims to restore patients' well-being and dignity while promoting sustainable policies to address this global epidemic.
