Noémie CALAIS

Noémie CALAIS

Farmer and Author

Noémie Calais, a black pig farmer in the Gers region, represents an unconventional path. A Sciences Po graduate, she initially followed a traditional career trajectory, moving from Paris to Hong Kong and then London, until health issues compelled her to change course entirely. Seeking meaning and a healthier environment, she embraced a farming lifestyle, which she now passionately advocates. A vocal opponent of agro-business, Noémie champions agriculture that respects the land, the body, and the soul, offering a joyful alternative to a bleak status quo. Nourishing, in every sense of the word, has become her mission.
