Carine FOUTEAU

President and Publisher of Mediapart

A journalist at Mediapart since its launch in 2008, Carine Fouteau was appointed president and director of publication in March 2024, succeeding Edwy Plenel. She initially specialized in migration issues before serving as co-editorial director of Mediapart from 2018 to 2023. Prior to that, she worked for ten years at the economic daily Les Échos, leaving at the time of its acquisition by LVMH.
