Loup Espargilière is a journalist and the founder of Vert, an independent media outlet dedicated to ecology. After writing for Le Monde, Mediapart, and Le Monde diplomatique, he specialized in environmental issues. Through Vert, he informs the public about the climate crisis with clarity and rigor. In just three years, he gathered 20,000 subscribers and developed an independent, donation-based economic model. He also initiated the Charter for Journalism in the Face of the Ecological Emergency, signed by over 100 newsrooms and 1,600 journalists. A regular speaker at journalism schools (Cuej, Ijba, ESJ Lille), he also trains professionals in innovative editorial formats. His mission: to improve media coverage of environmental issues and make complex topics accessible to a wider audience. In 2022, he delivered the inaugural lecture at ESJ Lille.
