Yann Chouquet began his career in the cultural sector of Rouen, where he created and managed community radio stations. He then joined the NRJ Group as a producer before moving to Couleur 3 (Radio Télévision Suisse), where he wrote and directed radio dramas.

In 2004, he joined Radio France as a director for numerous programs, including Là-bas si j'y suis, Eclectik, L'atelier, and À votre écoute coûte que coûte.

From 2012 to 2014, he served as associate producer for the 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. slot, successively hosted by Frédéric Lopez and André Manoukian. During this time, he began identifying comedy talents who gradually found their place on the airwaves, eventually becoming a defining feature of the station.

From 2017 to 2024, he was Deputy Director of France Inter, working alongside Laurence Bloch and later Adèle Van Reeth. Since April 2024, he has been Deputy Director in charge of programming and editorial strategy for the ICI network, formerly known as France Bleu.
