Editor-in-chief and columnist at La Croix, Jean-Christophe Ploquin primarily covers international and environmental issues. He co-manages the editorial oversight of both the newspaper and its website. He also leads the La Croix "Ecology Network," a group bringing together journalists from various editorial departments to address topics related to climate, biodiversity, and the energy transition.

Previously, Jean-Christophe Ploquin headed La Croix’s International department and covered the Middle East and European affairs. A former auditor of the Institut des Hautes Études de Défense Nationale (IHEDN) (2005-2006) and the Cycle des Hautes Études pour le Développement Économique (CHEDE) at Bercy (2018), he served as president of the French Diplomatic Press Association (2018-2022) and has chaired the Europresse association since December 2024.

He is also a regular contributor to news analysis programs on France Info and France 24.
