Charles BRAINE

Charles BRAINE

Activist Fisherman

Charles Braine is a former sailor, fisherman and environmental activist. Born in Normandy and raised mainly in Paris, Charles Braine's passion for the marine environment has been so strong since his early years that it has been the cause and reason for his professional, associative and activist choices.
He has worked and directed nature protection associations, worked as a seafood salesman, and was also a fisherman for several years. Today, he is founder and chairman of an association that supports the necessary changes in the fishing industry. He is also a partner in a company specializing in short circuits for small-scale ecological fishing products. He now lives in Brittany, where he campaigns for a social and ecological transition in professional fishing. For almost 20 years, he has devoted his time to helping those who wish to transform the fishing industry for greater social and ecological justice, by working in the fields of trade unions, associations, the economy and now politics.
