Sabine ROUX DE BEZIEUX
President of the Fondation de la Mer
Sabine Roux de Bézieux is the President of the Fondation de la Mer, which addresses all issues related to the oceans, including marine biodiversity, pollution control, education and research, innovation, and maritime geostrategy. She is a former auditor of the IHEDN (Institute for Higher National Defense Studies) in Maritime Affairs and holds the rank of Ship Captain in the French Navy Reserve. For the past twenty years, she has been actively involved in the foundation sector, having created the ARAOK Foundation in 2005 and co-founded Un Esprit de Famille, the association of family foundations in France. Sabine holds a degree from ESSEC. After fifteen years in international consulting and finance, she managed her own consulting firm before joining the boards of publicly traded companies and taking over the leadership of a family-owned SME group. She is Vice-President of the European and International Affairs Commission of the CESE (Economic, Social, and Environmental Council) and a Knight of the Legion of Honor.
