For a persistent and demagogic minority, global warming is nothing more than a conspiracy. However, the Copernicus observatory has announced that in 2024 the rise in average global temperature will almost certainly exceed 1.5°C compared with the pre-industrial period.
Ten years after the Paris Agreements, where do we really stand? These 196 countries committed themselves to limiting global warming, but as Jean-Baptiste Fressoz points out, ‘all the talk about transition is a sham; it hasn't even begun yet’.
