It's a revolution as radical as that of Copernicus, who in the 16th century moved the Earth from the centre of the universe. Today, our own place as defined by modernity is being called into question. Since the 2014 law, animals have been recognised as sentient beings, but this progress remains incomplete. The ecological impasse in which we find ourselves, the contributions of the ecological sciences, but also of the social sciences, are forcing us to go further and (re)admit that we too are animals, neither superior nor detached from the rest of living beings.
This vision overturns the anthropocentric paradigm that, since the industrial era, has justified the unlimited exploitation of the planet. It's time to reinvent our relationship with nature, recognising that we are an integral part of this fragile balance.

What should we think of Youtubeur Inox Tag's feat? Climbing Everest with his camera at just 22 years of age. This quest for performance, to surpass one's limits in order to go further, higher, faster and stronger, has long guided the trail of the greatest adventurers. But this personal, passionate and increasingly contested quest is now being challenged by ecological imperatives. Many personalities are proposing a different vision of adventure, where the destination suddenly becomes secondary, to the benefit of the journey and the time devoted to it. ‘A sedentary lifestyle kills more people than smoking! This is the warning issued by cardiologist François Carré. Spending hours on end behind a screen increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer's... and even myopia. Like diet, physical activity plays a key role in our health. In 2022, the UN revealed that one person in eight in the world was obese, a figure that illustrates the scale of this epidemic. Faced with the increase in chronic diseases, dubbed ‘the diseases of the century’, the good news is that we have the power, individually and collectively, to take action. 
Through the stories of several adventurers in the know, we will set out on the paths of sobriety, impact and respect for living things. Finally, we will question the notion of exploration, different from the individualistic notion of adventure, in what it implies: a humanist goal of bringing back knowledge, understanding of the world and resilience’.
In this session, we will explore how our daily choices - physical activity, diet, screen time - influence our health and wellbeing. By analysing the barriers to change, we will propose practical solutions for adopting healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. But it's not just a question of individual responsibility: what role should public authorities and businesses play in safeguarding our health? Prevention, education, information... How can we create a positive and enjoyable dynamic?
